Meet Coach Lyann Santana
Coach Santana is a former collegiate basketball and softball athlete, achieving the milestone of 1,000 career points in college basketball. With over 20 years of coaching experience working with both boys and girls, and 25 years as an educator specializing in students with learning disabilities, Coach Santana is dedicated to helping young athletes grow in skill, confidence, and character.
As a youth development coach, she has worked with athletes ages 5 to 17, focusing on skill development and leadership. Most recently, Coach Santana led Palm Harbor University High School to a district championship and was selected as Coach of the Year for Class 7A Region 11 Coach of the Year.
In addition to basketball and softball, Coach Santana is a Sensei at Hellman’s MMA, where she has guided students to achieve the prestigious goal of attaining a black belt.
She is an inspiring mentor who blends enthusiasm with expertise, creating a dynamic and enjoyable environment for her team. Coach Santana prioritizes skill development while ensuring every practice is engaging and fun, fostering both growth and a love for the game.
